AI Modernizing South Korea

South Korea has committed 10.1 trillion won in its 2026 budget to artificial intelligence. This is a historic investment, showing that our country is ready to lead in the technologies that will shape the future.

The government is also preparing a 100 trillion won five-year plan to put South Korea among the world’s top three AI leaders. A new National Artificial Intelligence Committee, chaired by the president, has been created to guide these efforts.

For me, what stands out is the confidence this represents. AI is no longer something to experiment with. It is becoming the core of how we grow, modernize, and connect with the world.

AI is not only modernizing South Korea—it is giving us the chance to reimagine what is possible for our economy, our industries, and our everyday lives.
